On April 20,2010 Gus Puga arrived at Hacienda Oaks Nursing & Rehab for Therapy. Mr. Puga recently had open-heart surgery at Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi. Upon arrival Mr. Puga was very weak, required maximum assistance, had poor endurance and shortness of breath. With a lot of hard work from Mr. Puga and our EXCELLENT Therapy Department, Gus Puga was able to return home walking independently on July 2, 2010! We wish you well Mr. Puga and we will deeply miss you!

Raymond Despain came to Hacienda Oaks Nursing & Rehab June 15th 2010 from Christus Spohn Beeville Hospital after having open-heart surgery. Upon arrival Mr. Despain was very weak, short of breath, and unable to walk. After working real hard with our EXCELLENT Therapy Department, Mr. Despain was able to return home on July 3rd 2010 walking with good endurance! Good Luck Mr. Despain! Congratulations Mrs. Rutkowski, Mrs. Bissett, & Mrs. Fulton on completion of our rehabilitation program!
Marion Rutkowski came to Hacienda Oaks on May 10th 2010 from Dr’s Regional Hospital in Corpus Christi. Mrs. Rutkowski had a Left hip fracture with a total hip replacement from a recent fall. She was unable to stand or walk. She was able to return home on May 30th 2010 walking with minimal assistance and able to safely stand thanks to all her hard work! All of us here at Hacienda Oaks would like to thank Dr. Behram Khan, Dr’s Regional Hospital and Mrs. Rutkowski for allowing us to be a part of your rehabilitation! We wish you the best of luck!
Cordylee Bissett came to Hacienda Oaks on March 27th 2010 extremely weak from a recent hospitalization at Christus Spohn Beeville Hospital with pneumonia. Mrs. Bissett was maximum assist to even sit up at bedside. With a lot of hard work and determination Mrs. Bissett was able to return home May 29th 2010! She was walking with minimal assistance and regained her confidence in transferring and ambulating. All of us here at Hacienda Oaks would like to thank Dr. Larakers , Teralea Jones PAC, Christus Spohn Hospital, and Mrs. Bissett for choosing Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehab. It was a Privilege to be a part of your rehabilitation!
Mary Lou Fulton arrived at Hacienda Oaks April 30th 2010 from Kindred Hospital in Corpus Christi unable to stand and required maximum assistance. She was very weak from her hospitalization with CHF & HTN. On May 29th 2010 Mrs. Fulton was able to return home walking with her walker. She has good endurance and good safety awareness! Great Job Mrs. Fulton! We will miss you! Success Story!Hacienda Oaks Nursing & Rehab would like to congratulate Elizar Martinez on completion of our rehabilitative program.
Elizar Martinez came to Hacienda Oaks on May 7th 2010 from Christus Spohn Beeville Hospital. He was weak with an unstable gait & required moderate assistance from his recent hospitalization. With a lot of hard work and determination from Mr. Martinez and our therapy department, he was able to return to the community May 26th 2010 with improved balance, good endurance and walking with minimal assistance.

Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehab would like to congratulate Georgia Garvey on completion of our Short Term Rehabilitation Program. Mrs. Garvey arrived at our facility March 13, 2010 after having a total knee replacement in San Antonio. On March 26, 2010 Mrs. Garvey was able to return to the community walking without assistance. Thank you, Mrs. Garvey for allowing us to take part in your recovery. Keep up the good work! Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehab would like to congratulate Reverend R.C. Jeans on completion of our rehabilitative program. Rev. Jeans came to Hacienda Oaks Nursing and Rehab on April 11, 2009; he was weak and unable to walk with his hospitalization with Pneumonia. With a lot of hard work and determination from Rev. Hacienda Oaks Nursing & Rehab would like to congratulate Marcella Flores on completion of her Short – Term Rehabilitation! Mrs. Flores arrived at Hacienda Oaks February 12th 2010 from Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville with Hypertension, & Weakness. Upon arrival Mrs. Flores was unable to walk or transfer. With excellent therapy and hard work from Mrs. Flores, she was able to return home transferring independently and walking with assistance on March 16, 2010! Hacienda Oaks Nursing & Rehab would like to Congratulate Guadalupe Yzaquirre, Joyce Bailey,& Eloy Urquizo on completion of their Short-Term Rehabilitation. Guadalupe Yzaguirre arrived at Hacienda Oaks December 31st from Christus Spohn Hosp. Beeville with Dehydration, & weakness. With extensive therapy & hard work from Ms. Yzaguirre she was able to return home with her family walking & transferring herself with minimal assistance. Joyce Bailey arrived at Hacienda Oaks on January 15th from Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital Corpus Christi with a recent fracture to her Left Hip. Upon arrival Mrs. Bailey was non-weight bearing and unable to transfer. With Intensive therapy & hard work from Mrs. Bailey she was able to return home with her husband February 3rd transferring with moderate assistance & partial weight bearing. Eloy Urquizo arrived at Hacienda Oaks on January 15th from Doctor’s Regional Hospital Corpus Christi with a recent Below the Knee amputation. When Mr. Urquizo arrived he was unable to transfer himself, unable to stand, and unable to walk. With hard work and Intensive therapy, Mr. Urquizo was able to return home February 4th Transferring independently, able to stand up to five minutes, and walking over 150 feet with a rolling walker. He is currently awaiting his new prosthesis! All of us at Hacienda Oaks would like to thank everyone involved in the care of these three wonderful patients: Dr. Larakers, Dr. Dehnisch, Dr. Schiavone, Robert Gonzalez PTA Director of Rehab, Jimmi Vasquez COTA, Julie Rivas Therapy tech.
