Success Story: Ms. Booker

Ms. Booker admitted to Hacienda Oaks-Beeville on 9/20/19 after a recent Stroke. Ms. Booker relocated from Richmond, Virginia as to be closer to her family during her recuperation period. Ms. Booker was left with deficits to the following areas: ADL’s, functional mobility, balance, strength, endurance, safety awareness, and cognition. Ms. Booker received Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy during her stay.

Upon discharge, Ms. Booker was able to perform most daily tasks such as dressing, hygiene, toileting and functional mobility at modified independent. Ms. Booker also worked very hard with speech therapy to increase cognitive skills to be able to manage her medication regimen at home. Thanks to the outstanding commitment to excellence by the entire team at Hacienda Oaks-Beeville, Ms. Booker was able to make tremendous strides in her road to recovery and will be relocating to Beeville, TX to live with her daughter as to be closer to family. It was a great pleasure to help Ms. Booker achieve her goal of regaining her independence. Great Job Ms. Booker!!
